David Gallagher plays Simon Camden, and in this episode Matt comes to Simon to borrow money so he can fly back to Philadelphia to try and prevent his girlfriend Heather from dumping him. Simon loans him $86. Meanwhile, Simon finds out from his best friend Nigel that he is now the last boy in his 6th grade class who does not have a girlfriend cause Nigel just got one. Simon resolves to find a girlfriend and calls Cheryl, who Nigel recommended. However, when she answers the phone, Simon is too tongue-tied to say anything and she hangs up.
At Simon's middle school he finds that Cheryl has a boyfriend. However, another girl, Janice, comes up and asks Simon if he wants to go steady. Simon agrees and she drags him off by the arm. Janice turns out to be very demanding, and Simon doesn't like that. She wants Simon to buy her a bracelet or ring yet Simon loaned all his money to Matt. Of course, Simon doesn't want to have to spend a lot of his money on "boss of me." Simon soon decides to break up with Janice and asks his sisters for advice. They tell him to say that it is his fault the relationship is not working. Simon tries to tell Janice why he is breaking up with her but she gets angry and stomps off before he can explain. Janice grabs the first guy she sees, asks him to go steady, and when he agrees, takes his arm and walks away.
